SS Habana
The steamship SS Habana was a transatlantic cargo and passenger liner that participated in the evacuation of refugees from Biscay during the Spanish Civil War. In 1937, it made the voyage from Santurtzi, Biscay, to Southampton, England, carrying almost 4,000 Basque refugee children. It also made other voyages transporting Basque refugee children to various locations.
